Mysterious remains found in an Enfield churchyard last week have been identified as a human placenta.
Rumours spread through the borough after remains were found in a box in St Andrews Church in Church Walk, Enfield Town on Monday, 24.
Police cordoned off the whole churchyard and erected a tent over the place where the box was discovered.
Police have now revealed that the box contained a human placenta.
They have said that the case has now been closed and they are not treating the remains as suspicious.
