A new community and health centre in the east of the borough is beginning to take shape.
The former library in Ordnance Road, Enfield Lock will be replaced by the Ordnance Unity Centre, which will hold a community hall, doctors’ and dentist surgeries.
Building is due to be completed this summer.
Councillor Christine Hamilton, Enfield Borough Council’s cabinet member for community safety, wellbeing and public health, said: “Ordnance Unity Centre will provide essential services for this area improving lives in every way.
“This project has been planned with local people, the NHS and the council. It will soon be complete and established as an indispensable community building for people of all ages to use and enjoy.”
