An Enfield school has become one of the first schools in the borough to be recognised for the values it teaches.

Eversley Primary School in Chaseville Park Road, Enfield, has been awarded a Values Education Quality Mark.

The award was given by International Values Education Trust and visited by the founder Dr Neil Hawkes today, Friday, February 14.

On a day the school as dubbed ‘valuetines day’ – the Enfield school won the award for its based curriculum.

Head teacher Patricia Wood said:  “It is a wonderful achievement for the school’s staff, parents, pupils and governors to gain international recognition for its values education.

“Teaching our children values for life in order to make them good citizens and the best they can be are just as important as the more traditional curriculum subjects."
