Children and staff at an Edmonton nursery wore a dazzling array of outfits to celebrate their many heritages.
Angel Place Nursery in Fore Street, Edmonton, explored the diverse backgrounds of its pupils with activities such as making musical instruments, a storytelling class and dancing.
The event was held as part of the charity I Can Chatterbox Challenge, which aims to raise awareness of communication skills for young children.
Marianne van Brandenburg, a worker at the nursery, said: "It was a really exciting day for all our pupils and the staff.
"Everybody got involved and some of the outfits were fantastic. The whole week has been to promote the importance of language and being able to give children to confidence to speak up."
As part of the challenge, the nursery will also be holding a coffee morning as well as a storytelling session with a librarian.
