Despite a mild winter, a heating company are reminding vulnerable people that help with heating and insulation is available.

Cold temperatures have been predicted by the environmental agency and npower’s Health Through Warmth will work with local organisations in Enfield to remind people that help is available.

Elaine Midwinter, npower Health Through Warmth scheme manager, said: “This winter has been relatively mild so far and, for many of us, it is not until we experience a cold snap and need to use our heating systems more that they tend to break down.

“However, with freezing temperatures predicted throughout February, we’d like to remind everyone that Health Through Warmth is here to help vulnerable people if they don’t have heating or if it’s broken down.”

The scheme will be available to people such as vulnerable homeowners who have a long term, cold-related illness, a low income with little or no savings and who are unable to fully fund measures, such as a new boiler or heating system. You do not have to be, or become, an npower customer to benefit from the scheme.
