A woman has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in Enfield.

The woman, believed to be in her mid-60s, suffered leg and head injuries in Carterhatch Lane on Sunday, January 12.

She was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, East London, and her injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the car was not arrested.

As a result, the road was closed for three hours between 5pm and 8pm.
