Trainee doctors and nursing staff are being offered cheaper rent by a charitable housing association.
Viridian Housing is allowing 226 flats at its Robbins Hall site in Gardiner Close, Ponders End, to be used by doctors and nurses working at nearby hospitals for cheaper rent.
The rental price will be between 75 and 85 per cent of current market rates.
Sharon Alexis-Wilson, operations manager at Viridian, said: “Offering an assortment of accommodation has proved extremely popular among key workers who often come to us looking for basic single accommodation before upgrading to larger housing options within our sites as their career and personal circumstances change.
"There is a shortage of affordable housing in London and Robbins Hall will be a welcome option for many.”
