Views sought on landlord licensing scheme for Enfield

People are being called to give their views on a new scheme to tackle anti-social behaviour in their area.

Enfield Borough Council has announced proposals to introduce licensing for private landlords to ensure they take action against tenants who cause anti-social behaviour.

The scheme would mean landlords in parts of the borough where there are high levels of disruption would have to get a licence before renting out their property.

Landlords who fail to take action or act responsibly could have their licences removed by the council.

The authority has launched a consultation looking for the views of the general public about the proposals as a way of tackling anti-social behaviour.

Those interesting in taking part in the consultation can do so by clicking here.
