Transport Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Enfield on Christmas Eve.

The incident is believed to have taken place in the car park of Arnos Grove Underground Station in Bowes Road on December 24.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Jordan said: “The victim, a 32-year-old woman, boarded a number 34 bus near The Griffin pub in Whetstone, North London, on Tuesday evening.

“While on board the bus, the victim began talking to a male passenger before both the victim and the man left the bus outside Arnos Grove station.

“We are investigating reports that between 10.15pm and 11.00pm, the woman was seriously sexually assaulted in the car park before the suspect left the scene.”

The British Transport Police (BTP) are looking for a man who was seen running from the area.
He is described as black, in his late teens to early twenties, 5ft 9ins tall, of large build, with a one inch scar on the side of his top lip.

He was wearing a black bomber jacket and dark colour trousers.
