No prosecutions have been made a month after a spitting ban was introduced in Enfield.
The Enfield Borough Council by-law was the first of its kind in the country when it came into force in December.
Under the ban, which received Government approval in July after a campaign by the Enfield Over 50s Forum, anybody caught spitting could incur a fine up to £500.
So far, two investigations are under way, but no prosecutions have begun.
