A man has been given an Anti-Social Behaviour Order for abusing members of the public and urinating in the street.
Michael Hackett, 59, of Ingersoll Road, Enfield, was given the order by police and Enfield Borough Council.
Hackett abused and threatened members of the public and was seen urinating by mothers with their children in the forecourt of the Tesco Express car park in Hertford Road, Enfield.
Under the terms of the order he is banned from begging, harassing members of the public, indecent exposure, spitting, throwing objects or behaving in a threatening manner in any public place.
Any breaches of the ASBO would result in him facing five years in prison.
The council's cabinet member for community eellbeing Cllr Christine Hamilton said: “This man was relatively nice to people who gave him money but anyone who sensibly gave him a wide berth were abused and threatened and treated to the sight of this disgusting behaviour.
“We’re absolutely committed to dealing with anti-social behaviour in Enfield and I sincerely hope this ASBO encourages this man to seek treatment for his alcohol problems and to stop behaving in a drunken manner.”
