Children from three primary schools raised more than £1,000 for charity by helping supermarket customers with their shopping bags.
Pupils from De Bohun, Osidge and Westgrove Primary Schools helped visitors to Asda Southgate bag their groceries as part of a day supporting the annual Children in Need appeal.
Students from performing arts charity Jump the Rope also carried out a bucket collection and Junior MasterChef 2012 finalist TJ Dobson baked cakes to sell.
The event raised a total of £1,420.06.
Organiser Pesi Didine Belau said: “The parents of the young volunteers were good sports as they too took part in the bucket collection and the day would not have been complete without a visit from Pudsey Bear.”
