Friends have paid homage to a 17-year-old man who was stabbed in the early hours of this morning in Palmers Green.

Tributes line Bowes Road where the incident took place at 12.45am this morning and the victim has been named by friends as Josh Folkes.

Rachael Williams, Julia Douglas, Chantel Njoki and Yassim Njie were all close friends to Josh and told the Enfield Independent of his cheeky nature.

They said: “He was such a funny and charming guy; he would walk into a room and put everyone in a good mood. He was always cheerful and always being cheeky no matter what and we hope that whoever did this is brought to justice. He was taken too soon.”

Aysha Odoffin added: “I don’t understand how this has happened because no-one ever had anything against Josh. He was a real and good person and I loved his smile. What goes around comes around, justice will be done.”

Twitter has been awash with tributes for the popular teen.

Josh was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1.25am and his next of kin have been informed.
