Part of the Trent Park Golf Course clubhouse will become a public restaurant, a council meeting has agreed
Part of a golf club on the green belt will now be used as a separate bar and restaurant.
Trent Park Golf Club in Bramely Road, Enfield, will see its public bar, restaurant and part of its function room area become a The Fairway Inn and Carvery.
Plans were agreed at an Enfield Council planning committee last night with the brand new restaurant one of many items on a busy agenda.
The Fairway Inn will have set opening hours of 7am until midnight whereas the previous bar and function room remained open until 3am.
A small part of the existing function room will remain, however this reduced room will not be able to host wedding functions or birthday events as it has done in the past.
Having been built in 1974, the golf course is situated within the green belt.
Despite this, a representative of the Conservations Area Group at the committee was in full support of the proposals, welcoming new business and job opportunities to the area.
