Enfield man Paul Lovell, accused of trying to have sex with a sheep, appeared in court today
A man has been bailed until next month after appearing in court accused of attempting to have sex with a sheep.
Paul Lovell, 61, of Magpie Close, Enfield, appeared at Wood Green Crown Court in Lordship Lane, Edmonton today.
At the preliminary hearing, he faced charges of behaving in an indecent manner by trying to commit a sexual act with a sheep, attempting to encourage the sheep to perform a sexual act, and exposing his genitals intentionally.
The IT worker first appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in Holloway Road, London on September 18 after he was allegedly caught with the animal in Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield, close to Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground on September 4.
Mr Lovell denies the charges and will return to court on November 13, for a second hearing.
A conditions of the bail, given until November 13, is that the 61-year-old does not return to the road in which the alleged incident took place.
