A man has been charged in conncection with Southgate murder of Zafer Eren as search for Jamie Marsh-Smith continues
A man has been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with a Southgate murder.
Wayne McNeish, 32 of West End Lane, West Hampstead, who was arrested on Tuesday, will appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 28.
Mr McNeish was bailed to return to a central London police station today when charged for perverting the course of justice.
The charge is in connection with police efforts to find Jamie Marsh-Smith, 22, whom police want to speak to about the murder of Tottenham man Zafer Eren in Southgate five months ago.
Mr Eren, 34, was shot dead in Fontaine Court, opposite The Meadway, Southgate, on April 18, leaving behind a wife and month-old baby daughter.
There is a £30,000 reward to find Mr Marsh-Smith, who has connections with Tottenham.
Samuel Zeria, 20, of Hathersage Court, Newington Green, has been charged with the murder of Mr Eren and will appear at the Old Bailey on November 11.
