Enfield's Lock to Lock festival will begin its weekend show today
The big day has arrived for Enfield’s annual Lock to Lock festival.
Starting today from 11am until 7pm, the two day Lock to Lock festival will include attractions both on and off the water, with a musical festival taking place at Prince of Wales Playing Field in Ordnance Road, Enfield set to be the showpiece of the weekend.
Those who turn out can expect a multitude of events between the Navigation Inn in Wharf Road, Ponders End and the playing field in Ordnance Road including Zorbing, pace painting, paddleboating, canoeing, bouncy castles plus much more between the two locks of Enfield down and Enfield Lock.
Enfield Council’s cabinet member for business and regeneration Councillor Del Goddard said: “The River Lee is the hidden gem of the area and these events will help open up the lee to more people.
"This fantastic family festival offers something for everyone so I’d urge people to come and enjoy a day by the river taking in the atmosphere and participating in the excellent music and activities on offer.”
