Flowers and tributes have been laid at the scene of a car crash where a man lost his life.

More than 40 flowers and dozens of tributes have been left at the spot where the car the 24-year-old was driving collided with an out of service bus on The Ridgeway, Enfield at around 1.30am on Saturday.

The driver of the car, a silver Toyota MR2, was pronounced dead at the scene and has been named in tributes as Adem Mehmet.

One read: “You were taken too soon but now you are an angel. Never to be forgotten, always in our hearts. Love Ceylan and Alex.”

Another had the words: “Our sweet sweet son. You have left our side to be an angel in heaven and I wish I could have you back, our hearts are broken. Please sleep tight Adem and we will be with you one day.”

Mr Mehmet’s place of work, American food chain TGI Friday, also donated a shirt in memory of the 24-year-old.

A tribute page for Adem has been set up on social network site Facebook and has already gained more than 1,400 members over two days in which hundreds of tributes have poured in.
