The Love your Phone campaign, launched on Thursday, August 15, is a new scheme which will try to publicise phone theft in the capital.
In all 7,000 phones are stolen per month in London, with 70 per cent of personal thefts involving a phone - and 80 per cent of these involving an iPhone.
But following a successful operation in five different London boroughs resulting in a 9.5 per cent reduction in mobile phone related crime, Operation Ringtone will now be rolled out across all 32 London Borough in partnership with ‘Love your Phone.’
