Big city festival to be held in Enfield
More than 2,000 people will flock to an Enfield garden for a major city festival next month.
Capel Manor gardens, Bullsmoor Lane is set to welcome the 15th City Harvest Festival which will feature greens, gherkins, goats and guinea pigs galore.
Visitors to the 30 acre site will be from across the capital with a range of attendees from London’s 16 city farms with more than 100 community gardens being showcased at the event.
From Kentish Town pumpkins to Indian runner ducks from Vauxhall, the festival taking place on Saturday, September 21 will display a plethora of produce.
Event organiser Catherine Miller said: “Visitors will be amazed at the variety of produce grown at London's community projects and at all the different animals kept. This popular family show truly is where the city meets the country. Many of the young people who take part in the Festival volunteer their free time to help nurture plants and animals and create something of benefit to their communities. ”
