Young mum from Edmonton accepts award
A single mum from Edmonton has received an award for her impact on the community.
Ogo Williams, 27, of The Broadway, Edmonton has proved that being a young single mum shouldn’t slow you down.
After graduating from Brunel University in social work six years ago, Ms Williams started her own consultancy company, Uniquely Destined, which works to improve the lives of children in North London and also works as leader of local children services charity Ebony.
Now, the Edmonton woman has been rewarded for her contribution to the community at the Achievement Award Ceremony in Portsmouth last week.
The 27-year-old said: “I have been blessed with the honour of serving my local society, and the many children without a voice, and I am grateful for the support I have been given over the years. Hopefully I will encourage others in my community to be the best they can be and make changes for the good in our society.”
