Neighbourhood groups claim for financial muscle
Neighbourhood Watch groups in Enfield will be given the chance to apply for money from a new scheme.
The Crime Innovation Fund was launched this week and gives neighbourhood groups a chance to get their hands on a £2,000 fund to combat crime and anti-social behaviour.
Lock and glazing specialist Evander has allocated this fund to local groups.
Evander security expert Mark Taylor said: “The work of local Neighbourhood Watch groups is becoming increasingly important as planned reductions across the police force continue.
“Our Crime Innovation Grant recognises the positive impact these vital groups have on the welfare of their local communities. We hope our grant will help to enhance the effectiveness of these all important crime prevention groups.”
