The man accused of murdering his wife in Enfield Island Village has been given an extra two months before he can enter his plea.

Minta Addido, 37, of Morris Court in Rigby Place, was originally asked to plead at the Old Bailey yesterday but lawyers called for more time during a hearing this morning to finish their reports into the case.

Mr Addido's 23-year-old wife, Akua Agyueman, died of multiple injuries in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, almost two months after she was stabbed in Gunner Drive on November 6.

Police also believe the young woman was run over.

A date has been set for May 24 at the same court, where Mr Addido is expected to appear from custody.
