A monthly support group to help people with a rare and incurable condition is due to launch today.
People with lupus are invited to attend the two-hour session, which is due to start at St John and St James Church of England Primary School in Grove Street, Edmonton at 11am.
Sufferer Loretta Campbell-Allen, who has raised funds for research into lupus by running through Africa, hopes the meetings will support people with the disorder, in which the immune system attacks healthy cells, tissues and organs, potentially leading to serious complications including kidney failure or heart disease.
