Hard-working scouts were rewarded with money and a medallion for doing their best.

Jack Fereday, 12, of the 20th Southgate Scout Group, and 13-year-old Luke Orros, of the 23rd Enfield Scout Group, received Jack Petchey Awards during an annual award ceremony in Finchley on Tuesday.

Patrol leader Jack was congratulated for his enthusiasm and commitment to the scouts as well as his map reading talents.

Luke, who is partially sighted, was praised for his hard work at camp and his success in achieving multiple badges.

The pair were also rewarded with £200, which they spent on camping equipment.

The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up in 1999 to recognise the positive contributions young people make to society and support them in reaching their goals.
