L&Q's latest plans for Cat Hill
Plans to develop a former Middlesex University site in Cat Hill are due to be approved by Enfield Borough Council on Monday.
The controversial plans are expected to be given the go ahead – subject to conditions - during a special planning committee at 7.30pm in Ashmole Academy in Southgate.
Developers L&Q entered revised plans for the Cockfosters site in October, which include 232 new homes in four-storey tower blocks – 18 fewer homes than the previous application.
Campaigners oppose the development over concerns that the amount of housing will be too dense for the site, infrastructure will not cope with the influx of people, and the natural habitat will be damaged.
