Enfield community history project kicks off
11:39am Friday 1st March 2013 in News By Hermione Wright
People have been invited to share their footballing memories and memorabilia as part of a community history project.
Enfield Town Football Club is working with charities Enfield Age UK and The Beth Johnson Foundation to record people's stories of football in the borough.
The project, which is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, will use people's memories and memorabilia to create an exhibition, which will tour Enfield once complete.
Kingsmead School students are on board, and will be gathering materials and interviewing people before working with a documentary maker to record the project.
Suzannah Yianni, who is leading the project on behalf of Age UK, is encouraging the community to get involved.
She is urging people to come along to the Dugdale Centre in London Road on Monday and Tuesday to find out about how they can get involved.
The sessions will run between 1pm and 2.15pm on Monday and Tuesday between 10.30am and 11.45am.
To contribute, contact Suzannah Yianni on 07949 876606, or email syianni@live.co.uk
