A man tasered by police after wielding a knife at hospital staff has pleaded guilty in court.
Police were called to North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton on Monday just before 1.15pm after a man threatened staff with a knife and assaulted a female staff member.
Armed officers arrived at the hospital in Sterling Way and used a taser while arresting 37-year-old Matthew Joseph Ross.
Ross, of Gilbert Street in Freezywater, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, harassment through breach of a restraining order, burglary with intent to steal, and criminal damage.
Ross, who was remanded in custody, is due to appear at a crown court for sentencing. The date has not yet been set.
