A jury is expected to decide today whether a man is guilty of sexually assaulting his daughter and raping his stepdaughter.

The suspect appeared at Wood Green Crown Court in Lordship Lane at 10.15am today charged with nine counts of rape and sexual assault in Edmonton in the 1980s.

The jury called for more time to decide whether the Enfield man is guilty, and is expected to reconvene later today.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the alleged victims' anonymity, walked free from the court while the jury decides whether to convict him.

The man denies the charges, with his stepdaughter and daughter testifying against him during the trial which started at the court on Monday.
