A patient was airlifted to hospital with chest injuries after a motorcycle crash in Palmers Green.

The air ambulance was called at approximately 3pm yesterday to the North Circular Road at the junction with Green Lanes.

Paramedics treated the male patient for half an hour at the roadside before he was loaded into the helicopter and rushed to hospital.

It is believed several motorcycles were involved in the collision.

Traffic came to a standstill due to police closing the North Circular Road in both directions between Green Lanes and Brownlow Road.
