Nightingale Cancer Centre gets cash boost from rock guitarist Mick Box from Uriah Heep

A cancer support centre has been given a cash boost from a rock guitarist who raised £3,500 after auctioning the shirt off his back.
Mick Box lead guitarist of British rock group Uriah Heep auctioned a signed shirt to raise the money for the Nightingale Cancer Centre Lancaster Rd, Enfield.
Mr Box said: “I am delighted, after a long search, to find a wonderful organization, where I feel in my heart that the money raised by Heep fans on my "Shirt off My Back" auctions, is going to good use.
“The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre is mainly run by volunteers, who dedicate so much of their time, to help others who have been struck down with this awful illness.”
Lesa Barker fundraising manager for The Nightingale: “It is wonderful to have such an amazing man want to support a local Charity.
“Thanks to people like Mick and all our other supporters we are able to continue to provide the people of Enfield with a service they deserve.”
