Lloyds TSB apologises for closure of branch in Upper Fore Street in Edmonton

Lloyds TSB in Upper Fore Street in Edmonton will close permanently next month
Lloyds TSB customers will need to go further afield to do their banking when the Edmonton store closes next month.
The branch in Upper Fore Street will close permanently on March 15 due to redevelopment plans for the site.
However, the company - which rents the building from Enfield Borough Council - is searching for a new premises in Edmonton Green with a view to opening later this year.
Dale Semper, bank manager of Lloyds TSB in Edmonton, said: “We would like to apologise to our customers and staff for the inconvenience the closure of this branch will cause. We remain fully committed to our branch network and to our customers in Edmonton.
“Unfortunately the lease on our premises in Edmonton has come to an end and it has not been possible for us to renew it because of a redevelopment scheme.
“We will be looking to open a new branch in Edmonton Green later this year and until then we have several branches nearby that we will be directing customers to.”
Until a new site is sourced, customers can visit 180 to 182 High Street in Walthamstow, 149 to 153 High Road in Wood Green and 34 Station Road in Chingford.
All staff will be relocated to other Lloyds TSB branches until the new Edmonton store opens.
