A man charged with murdering his wife has been called to the Old Bailey.

Minta Addido, 37, of Morris Court, Rigby Place, in Enfield Island Village, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court in Islington this morning.

The date for his next appearance is yet to be decided, but he has been remanded in custody while he awaits to appear at the court in the City of London.

Mr Addido is charged with murdering 23-year-old Akua Agyueman in Gunner Drive in Enfield Island Village in Enfield Lock.

The young woman died on Wednesday, January 2 in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel after she was stabbed in the early hours of November 6.
