The Constable drawing will be on display from Friday
An original drawing by a world-famous artist will be unveiled in Enfield Town on Friday.
The pencil drawing by John Constable - last valued at £60,000 in 2010 - will be displayed in the Dudgale Centre in London Road as part of Enfield Borough Council’s free Enfield Life exhibition.
The one-of-a-kind piece, owned by the council, was previously stored at Forty Hall in Forty Hill, but there was no space to display it.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Youth and Localism, said: "It's incredibly exciting that we are exhibiting this artwork by John Constable, and we want to share it with as many people as possible so it will be going on display in our Enfield Life exhibition."
It is believed the artist drew the picture 217 years ago when visiting his uncle in Church Street in Edmonton.
