Coffee shop My Coffee Stop in Enfield Chase Station transformed into secret Channel Four television set

Filming is underway in a coffee shop for a top-secret Channel 4 television programme.

My Coffee Stop at Enfield Chase Station is today being used as a venue for the show – which is being made by a production company.

Karen Mercer, who runs the shop, took to Twitter to inform her 4,800 followers about the crew, but  remained tight-lipped about the details.

She said: “I can only say generic stuff, we have to leave it up to the production company.

“It’s nothing to do with us, we are just a location in the thing and that’s all I can say.

“I am not allowed to reveal any details. It’s one of those things – they want to be control of what is out there, it’s their story.”

Via Twitter, she said: “All very hush hush and I’m not allowed to say a word... BUT there’s a production company filming for Channel 4 in our shop Now! Xx Shhh. X”

She responded to a follower by saying it’s “one of those things” that she’s not allowed to talk about, and people will have to wait for the company to release further details.

She added the crew will only be at the coffee shop today.
