Mystery winner hits the jackpot and claims missing £70,428 Lotto ticket bought in Enfield

A Lotto ticket holder who won £70,428 has come forward – three weeks after hitting the jackpot.
The mystery winner bought the ticket in Enfield before the draw on Wednesday, October 10, but did not claim their money until today.
Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, which operates The National Lottery, released information about the missing ticket less than 24 hours ago and urged the winner to come forward.
If the jackpot was not claimed before April 8, 2013, the cash and the interest earned would have been given to the lottery’s Good Causes fund, which is donated to projects throughout the UK.
The ticket holder will remain a mystery unless they sign an agreement with The National Lottery allowing it to release their details.
The winner matched five out of six numbers as well as the bonus ball.
A statement, from The National Lottery, said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money.”
