2:02pm Tuesday 30th October 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
A teenager snatched a necklace from an elderly woman’s neck when she was on her way back from church yesterday.
The 82-year-old woman was walking through an alleyway near Monmouth Road in Edmonton Green with a friend when three black men aged between 18 and 20 walked past.
When the youths reached the end of the alleyway, one dashed back towards her and pulled the £100 necklace from behind her.
The suspect is approximately 5ft 11ins and wearing a grey and black hooded jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
Although the woman escaped unharmed, she was extremely shaken up.
Police are investigating and would like to speak to anyone with information.
