Teon Palmer was murdered on Saturday night
A post-mortem into the death of Teon Palmer found he died from a single stab wound to the chest.
The 28-year-old from Lower Edmonton was murdered in Montagu Road on Saturday at the junction of Goodwin Road in Lower Edmonton.
Police were called at 11.10pm to reports of an assault, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The inquest into Mr Palmer’s death was opened and adjourned at North London Coroners Court in Barnet on Tuesday.
The date for it to reopen has not been set.
All four tyres of Mr Palmer’s blue Vauxhall Astra were slashed moments before he was stabbed and a gang of up to seven black men wearing hooded tops or jackets were seen running from the scene.
Police believe the gang knew the car belonged to Mr Palmer. However, no arrests have been made.
Tributes to Mr Palmer continue to be posted on Twitter, with one user saying: "Unable to sleep, thinking about the passing of Teon Palmer. And the saddest thing about the roads is, it'll never change."
Another said: “Paused for a meditative moment to hold on to the image of how I remember your smile and words shared and how you cared. Teon Palmer rip.”
