Midnight Apothecary Valentine Special

Whether you want to quench your lover’s thirst, drown your sorrows or find the noble inner you, this pop-up garden cocktail bar in Brunel Museum’s Rooftop Garden will concoct your heart’s desire.

Guests can cosy up by the firepit, sip on delectable cocktails, feed each other toasted marshmallows in the magical candlelit garden and indulge in some delicious Greek souvlaki down on the terrace served up by I Should Be Souvlaki.

Inside the candlelit Engine House there will be live music of the torch song with an edge variety from the Nathan Osgood Trio an then you can take an optional descent into Brunel’s dark, underground chamber at 6pm or 10pm for a reading of some salacious secret diaries and a love story.

Part of the inaugural See16 Arts Festival weekend taking place between February 11 and 15.

Valentine’s Day at Keats House

Explore the home where John Keats fell in love with Fanny Brawne, inspiring his most passionate poetry. On the Saturday it will be hosting a free, drop-in event from 3pm to 4pm Afternoon Poems: Love is… with readings of Keats, Byron and others performed by the Keats House Poetry Ambassadors.

On the Sunday there will be a special evening view of the most romantic house in London where you can make a regency-inspired Valentine’s card, listen to Keats’s romantic poems and love-letters, and enjoy live music at the pop-up bar and enjoy a glass of fizz.

Valentine’s on Ice

Iceskating is the perfect excuse to grab the one you love and hold on tight.West London’s only permanent ice-skating rink is hosting a special evening with Djs Guy D’Angelo and Tony Madden making it a night to remember with the biggest new and old school tracks. If your legs get tired you can try your hand at bowling, or in the arcades, snuggle up in a photo booth or stare at each other over a glass at the bar.

Valentine’s Masquerade in the Garden of Eden

The famed Kensignton Roof Gardens will be transformed into paradise for a night of romance, revelry and just a little temptation with The Late Night Cocktail Club.

Acrobats, stilt walkers, contortionists, glow performances and even snake handlers are just some of the unearthly pleasures in store and they will bestow special glowing surprises for those with the most impressive masks. From 10pm onwards a saxophanist and percussionist will kick off the dance floor with London’s top resident DJ, keeping the party live until 3am. Food will be available for purchase all night from a BBQ.

Tickets cost from £25 and include a complimentary cocktail (pre-8:30pm), live entertainment throughout the night and entry to the famous Roof Gardens until closing.

Discover Your Inner Cupid - Valentine’s Singles Event

Are you single? Do you know anyone single? Share the love and become an earth-bound cupid at this fun singles event hosted by 2020 Archery. Learn the basics of making an arrow fly straight to the target and discover a new target for Cupid’s arrows at the same time. You’ll be having a go at shooting recurve bows - the kind they used in the Olympics - in a traditional way so an excellent start to either longbow or sighted Olympic style shooting. The session will be led by the excellent, friendly instructors who will lead the way to the pub for a drink afterwards. Tickets are £25 but anyone who can prove their name is Robin or Marian can shoot for free (limited numbers of spots).
