THE NIVEA Funny Women competition, which kicks off in Stratford on Friday, April 4 and which Suzy Bennett won in 2006.
The 31-year-old Plymouth-born comic says she looks up to the likes of Victoria Wood and Jo Brand and hopes to one day emulate the success of such illustrious names.
On April 4, Suzy, who lives in Bulwer Road, Leytonstone, will be compering the first heat at the Stratford Circus, in Theatre Square, Stratford, which starts at 8pm.
But as we speak she is busily thinking of which five people she's going to put forward for a radio debate on Richard Bacon's show about who her fantasy prime minister would be.
She said: "Top of my list is Johnny Depp, followed by Jason Lee Collins, Derren Brown, Myleene Klass, and Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.
Suzy, who also works as a guide at Madame Tussauds, had only appeared in stand-up five times before entering Funny Women two years ago and said she was 'shocked' to win.

"The prize was a holiday in Cyprus to a five-star hotel and I was skint that year, couldn't afford a holiday, so when I won I took my mum there, which was fantastic," she said. "It's a great competition and a brilliant chance for comediennes to try out for a prestigious title, which, if they do well, can open plenty of doors, as I've found."
Suzy is also currently appearing in the programme The Diets That Time Forgot, which started on Tuesday (April 1) on Channel 4. It is running for six weeks, at 9pm.
"I'm one of nine volunteers spending 24 days testing the weight loss diets and fitness regimes that were popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods and the 'roaring' Twenties.
Suzy, who has also worked as a redcoat at Butlins in Minehead, Devon, has appeared on stage with Jo Brand and had a guest spot on the Plymouth leg of Jimmy Carr's tour. She added: "I have a chatty style.
"I talk about anything from Johnny Depp, to blokes generally, to my ongoing diet and always try to get on with the audience. Plus I've never been booed off, touch wood."
