A GROUP of artists with a strong connection to the local community are brought together at an exhibition in Hackney, which begins next week.
The Conduit Exhibition includes work by Yvonne Coughlan, who is showing mixed media minimalist paintings; Caroline Holden-Hotopf, who is exhibiting prints based on brass rubbings; Paula Haughney, a resident artist at the Bromley by Bow Centre, Eva Bachmann, whose photographic work compares and documents how local cultures react to their built environment, and Nick Creber, who works as an artist at Fish Island, close to where the exhibition takes place.
April 1 to May 2 at Forman’s Smokehouse Gallery, Stour Road, Hackney. www.formansfishisland.com
